This is a fragrance for those that find zen in the shaving experience. Wet shaving can be therapeutic, and this soap is meant to contribute to that therapy. Sometimes all we want out of a shave is to feel relaxed. And when that’s the case, we don’t want a soap with sharp or polarizing accords. We want something that’s easy to love, easy to shave with, and easy on our noses. That’s what Grayscale is.
This fragrance is an Earl Grey “base” with sweet, spiced, and masculine touches. Soft citrus and floral opens up the scent with bergamot and lavender. Clove makes itself apparent as the soap is lathered, but contained and warmed with a little patchouli. A strong tea note serves as the backbone of this fragrance, but is given a masculine bend as it is complemented by musk and oakmoss.
Note: this soap is priced at $13.99 while the others are priced at $12.99. The price hike is not arbitrary or malicious. The essential oils in this soap are a little more expensive than those used in other products. I hope you feel that the quality of the blend will make up for the $1 price difference.
The Original Collection features products fit for daily use and engineered to be something that’s easy to reach for. The ingredient formulations are well-rounded with no extravagant oils or exotic additives that would drive up the cost. Lather quality was priority #1 when I was developing this soap. You can expect a thick, protective, voluminous lather with any product in The Original Collection. You can also expect a healthy dose of shea butter in this formulation help the skin feel moisturized for hours after the shave. I worked really hard to deliver top-tier performance for a fair price.
